OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University senior Andrea Kremer (Indianapolis, Ind./Bishop Chatard) was named to the Academic All-District IV First Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the organization announced today. For Kremer, this is the third straight year she has earned the honor.
The honor covers both her cross country and track & field seasons. In the fall, Kremer won four-of-six races, including her first MAC Championship. The Indianapolis native also garnered six MAC Runner of the Week honors, one for each week she competed, and three MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week awards. During the track season, she was a second-team all-MAC and academic all-MAC selection both indoors and outdoors.
A mathematics major, Kremer is no stranger to academic honors. She boasts a 3.74 GPA and has been named an academic all-American by the United States Track Coaches Association (USTCA) and Women's Intercollegiate Cross Country Coaches' Association (WICCCA) twice each.
Kremer's season continues as she competes in her third NCAA Championships, where she qualified in the 3,000m steeplechase. The only female three-time all-American at Miami University, she has twice earned the honor in this event. She is joined by freshman Lashonda Davis (Kokomo, Ind./Kokomo) at the national meet, June 9-12, in Austin, Texas. Davis earned an at-large berth in the long jump and is ranked 19th nationally in the event.
