COLUMBUS, Ohio - Miami's women's track and field team finished sixth at the All-Ohio Championships in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, earning 78 points in the two-day event. Sophomore Lashonda Davis (Kokomo, Ind./Kokomo) was Miami's event winner, taking the 100-meter dash in 11.81 seconds.

The RedHawks had five more top-three finishes on Saturday after recording two on Friday with freshman Sarah Landau's (Geneva, Ill./Geneva) third-place pole vault finish and junior Joanna Borawski's (Bayonne, N.J./Bayonne) second-place javelin take.

Freshman Jennie Stoll (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) finished second in the 1500 in 4:33.07 and junior Kelly Ardelean (Strongsville, Ohio/Strongsville) had another top-three finish in a distance event, finishing third in the 3K in 11:00.33. In addition to her 100 finish, Davis took second in the long jump with a leap of 19-5 1/4. Junior Taryn Nye (St. Johnsbury, Vt./St. Johnsbury) finished second in the heptathlon with 4,691 points.

Akron won the meet with 197 points, ahead of Ohio State (126), Bowling Green (92), Cincinnati (87), Ashland (80), the RedHawks, Toledo (49), Ohio (36), Findlay (30), Dayton (18), Tiffin (10), Central State (eight), Wright State (five) and Xavier (one).

Miami's next meet is Saturday at George Rider Track when the Red and White plays host to the Southern Ohio Cup against Cincinnati and Ohio.
