Muncie, Ind. - The Miami University (2-13, 0-8 Mid-American) field hockey team dropped its eighth conference game of the year this afternoon at Ball State (8-7, 4-3 MAC) by a count of 10-0. Under wet and soggy conditions the RedHawks could only muster three shots on goal in comparison to BSU's 35 shots.

Sophomore Kerri Orr (San Diego, Calif./Serra) thwarted as many of the Cardinals' shots as she could, and despite allowing 10 goals she recorded a career high with 20 saves. On the other end Susan McDowell and Tracy Bannister combined for the shutout.

Four Ball State players scored twice, while Afton Hess led all of her teammates with five points in the contest.

The RedHawks hit the road again this Sunday, Oct. 27, as they head to Central Michigan for their second to last conference contest.
