OXFORD, Ohio -- Seizing the program's league record 21st Mid-American Conference Championship, Miami University's men's basketball team earned the No. 1 seed in the MAC Tournament. The RedHawks will face the winner of the No. 9 Ball State at No. 8 Bowling Green matchup, which takes place on Monday, March 7, in the 7 p.m. game of the MAC Tournament Quarterfinals at Cleveland's Gund Arena.
Miami posted a 12-6 league record and earned the outright title with six other MAC schools posting 11-7 records in MAC play. The RedHawks enter the MAC Tournament with an 18-9 overall record. Miami's last regular-season MAC crown was in 1998-99, while it last MAC Tournament title came during the 1996-97 campaign.
