ST. CLOUD, Minn.(Oct. 16) -- The Miami hockey team completed a weekend sweep of St. Cloud State University and extended its unbeaten streak to four games with a 3-2 win. The four-game unbeaten streak is the RedHawks longest since they started the 1997-98 season 4-0-0.

Senior forward Gregor Krajnc, who was the hero the night before in the RedHawks' 5-4 win, got the scoring started just 3:55 into the game with his fourth goal of the season assisted by Ernie Hartlieb and Clarke Walford.

In the second period freshman forward Nick Jardine gave the RedHawks their largest lead of the night just 2:04 into the period with his first career goal. St. Cloud, like the previous night, refused to go down quietly, scoring back-to-back power-play goals at 5:09 and 10:54 to erase Miami's lead. It was the first time this season, the RedHawks had allowed two power-play goals in a game.

Sophomore forward Evan Cheverie, the team's leading scorer with seven points, put Miami up for good with 13:28 left to play with his second short-handed game-winning goal in as many weeks. Cheverie has scored a point in all four of Miami's games.

Freshman goaltender David Burleigh, making his collegiate debut in net for Miami, impressed the crowd of 5,145 by stopping 27-of-29 shots on net en route to the victory.

The sweep of St. Cloud is the first road sweep by Miami since Oct. 17-19, 1996 when the RedHawks took three straight games at Alaska-Fairbanks.
