Jan. 27, 2007 COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Marquise Carrington scored a career-high 23 points and also had four assists to lead No. 10-ranked Metro State to an 87-82 victory over UC-Colorado Springs in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men's basketball game, Saturday evening at the Lions Den. It was Metro State's 28th consecutive victory over the Mountain Lions in the series without a loss. Michael Bahl scored 18 points, while Jesse Wagstaff added nine points and 12 rebounds for the Roadrunners. Patrick Hannaway and Bly McGuire each had 22 points for UCCS. With Metro State leading 83-82, the Mountain Lions had a 2-on-1 break but Carrington jumped in and intercepted a pass, then knocked down two free throws to help preserve the win.
