Metro State Enjoys Last Tune-Up at Mines

GOLDEN, COLO. -- Metro State enjoyed a last tune-up on the track before the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championships at the Colorado School of Mines Twilight Open, Friday evening in Golden, Colo.

For the women, Therese Panian won the 800 meters in a time of 2:36.56, while Alana Pawloski was second. Sheila Hughes finished second in the 400 meters in a time of 1:05.28, while Desarae Gleason placed third in the mile, running a time of 5:44.00.

On the men's side, Anthony Luna finished second in the mile in a time of 4:35.72, while Eiger Erickson was sixth. In the 800 meters, Gabe Luna was fourth, while Todd Tolentino was fifth and Roscoe Smith was eighth.

The Roadrunners return to Colorado School of Mines for the RMAC Championships, Feb. 23-24.
