Slippery Rock, Pa. - Katie Jarocki and Victoria Caruso both finished in the top 20 as the Mercyhurst women's cross country team placed sixth out of 10 teams at the Slippery Rock Invitational.

Jarocki was 19th with a time of 24:52 and Caruso followed one second behind. Samantha Colvin placed 37th in 25:54 and Carrie Franze was 41st in 26:14. The next three Mercyhurst runners finished in succession.

Laura McCarthy ended 59th in 27:44, followed by Sara Rex in 27:46 and Amanda Ehrbar in 27:54.

Mercyhurst will be back in action Saturday at the GLIAC Championships, hosted by Findlay.
