Hilton Head, S.C. - The Mercyhurst women's tennis team had little trouble evening its record to 10-10 on the year as the Lakers cruised to a 9-0 win over Augustana in Hilton Head, S.C.

The Lakers never dropped a set and three of the singles matches were 6-0, 6-0 blankings. No. 1 Jen Daly, No. 4 Chelsea Downing and No. 6 Jaclyn McLean swept their matches. Meanwhile, Meghan Raynor won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 and Jamie Sutyak won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3. The only battle of the day came at No. 2, where Elizabeth Mullane overcame a slow start to win 7-5, 6-0.

In doubles play, the Lakers were dominant as well, winning 8-3 at both No. 1 and No. 2. Raynor and Natalie Iovino cruised to an 8-1 win at No. 3.

Mercyhurst will be back in action Wednesday as the Lakers play Catholic at 10 a.m. in their final match in Hilton Head, S.C.
