Indianapolis, Ind. - Mercyhurst got plenty of action at the annual Indianapolis Invitational Saturday which was held at the Eagle Creek Reservoir at Eagle Creek Park.

With many of the big Division I programs in attendance, including Purdue, Minnessota, Michigan State, St.Joesephs and Ohio State, the competition is always tough. The men's lightweight eight and varsity four both came away with silver medals and should solidify their post season chances with good performances. The women's varsity eight raced well and finished fourth, avenging an earlier defeat by Marquette in the heat.

The women finished fourth in the Varsity 8.

Both teams will compete at the Dowling Dual next Saturday in Oakdale, N.Y.
