Mercyhurst Lakers Finish Sixth After Day One of Gannon Fall Invite

The Mercyhurst Lakers women's golf team is currently in sixth place on Sunday after day one of the Gannon Fall Invitational. The team shot a combined 338 (+40) on Sunday and is nine shots behind Northwood University. Alleghany College is the current leader at the Gannon Fall Invitational with a team score of 305 (+17) and six players ranking in the top ten individually. Following Allegheny is Findlay (+26) and Kutztown University (+30). Junior Caitlin Cummings led Mercyhurst with an 83 (+11) on the day and tied for 21st place individually. A trio of juniors in Mattye Laurer, Kaitlin Brody, and Alanna Kirwan follow Cummings for Mercyhurst and are all tied for 25th place individually. Mercyhurst will continue play for day two of the Gannon Fall Invite on Monday. |
