North East, Pa. - The Mercyhurst women's golf team is in sixth place of nine after the first round of the two-day Mercyhurst Invitational, held at the Green Meadows GC in North East, Pa.

Senior Hilary McCall and sophomore Jenny Halinda are tops for the Lakers, as they tied for 13th place. McCall finished with a 44-41=85, while Halinda finished with a 41-44=85.
