Results

Belle Vernon, Pa. - Mercyhurst took second place at the two-day California University of Pa. Invitational. The Lakers' total of 765 was 68 shots behind the first-place Vulcans (697), who hosted their first tournament in nearly a quarter of a century.

The tournament was held at the par 72 Cedarbrook Golf Club.

Mercyhurst individual results are as follows:
T-7. Lynn Hylwa: 96-93= 189
9. Kaitlin Brody: 97-93= 190
10. Amy Natalie: 97-95= 192
11. Alanna Kirwan: 98-96= 194
12. Mattye Laurer: 104-109= 213

Washington & Jefferson was third while Pitt-Johnstown finished fourth.

Mercyhurst will compete this coming weekend at the GLIAC Championships hosted by Northwood.
