Lakers Second After First Round at California (Pa.)
April 17, 2006 BELLE VERNON, Pa. - Mercyhurst is in second place with four golfers in the top 10 after the first day of the Cal Golf Tournament at Cedarbrook Golf Club. Lynn Hylwa leads the Lakers in seventh place after turning in a 96 on the par 72 course. Amy Natalie and Kaitlin Brody are one shot back and tied for eighth. Alanna Kirwan checked in with a 98, good for 10th place. The Lakers' 388 is good for second, 36 shots behind the host Vulcans. Cal's Simone DeSouza leads the individual scoring with an 86 in the first round. The tournament concludes with the second round on Tuesday. |
