Lakers Roll Past Seton Hill
Sept. 29, 2006 Erie, Pa. - The Mercyhurst field hockey team snapped its four game losing streak with a 5-0 shutout over Seton Hill Thursday. The Lakers dominated the Griffons throughout the match to improve to 4-0 all-time against Seton Hill. Mercyhurst coach Stacey Gaudette was able to substitute freely and used 23 players during the contest. Final stats were not available, however, Friday morning. The victory pushes Mercyhurst's record to 3-5 on the season. While the Lakers are currently below .500, four of the squad's losses have come against teams ranked in the Division II Top 5. The team will try to move back closer to even on the season with a match at Catawba October 7 at 3:00 p.m. |
