Erie, Pa. - Mercyhurst fell to St. Francis (Pa.), 30-21, 30-27, 30-26 on Thursday night at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center during Senior Night where Mike Palaschak was honored. The Lakers are now 2-21 overall and Saint Francis is now 14-8.

In game one, the Lakers led until St. Francis tied the game at 15-15 and the Red Flash then took control of the game to win 30-21. The Red Flash seemed to have game two well in hand but the Lakers scored six straight points at 25-18 to pull within one, 25-24. The Red Flash finished the game off and won 30-27. Game three was controlled by the Red Flash to win 30-26 despite the Lakers best hitting percentage of .385 for the night.

The Lakers were led by Palaschak with ten kills and one block. Marcus Dos Santos also had ten kills, one ace, four digs, and one block. Tim Wagner and Dave Newman each had nine kills. David Hatten contributed 36 assists, three digs, and one block.

Marc Honore led the Red Flash with 16 kills, two digs, and six blocks. Jordan Varee had nine kills.

The Lakers travel to Ohio State on April 14th for their final match of the season which will start at 7:00 p.m.
