Nittany Lions Defeat Lakers
March 9, 2007
University Park, Pa. - Mercyhurst fell to the Penn State Nittany Lions in three matches, 30-15, 30-10, and 30-17 on Friday night at the Recreation Building at Penn State. The Lakers are now 1-15 on the season and the Nittany Lions improved to 11-2. For the Lakers, Joe Montroy and Dave Newman had five kills a piece. Newman also contributed four of the eight block assists for the Lakers. Alex Gutor led the Nittany Lions with nine kills, one ace, four digs, and one block assist. Aaron Smith contributed six kills, three digs, and two block assists. Up next for the Lakers is a home contest against D'Youville on Tuesday, March 13th at 7:00 pm. |
