EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Senior Andy Tait of the Mercyhurst College men's soccer team was named to the All-Tournament team at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship for his performance for the Lakers.

Tait scored Mercyhurst's only goal in its semifinal loss to top-seeded SIU-Edwardsville, 6-1.

The All-Tournament team was selected by the coaches of the four regional qualifiers. Teams eliminated in the semifinals were awarded one All-Tournament selection, with the remainder of the squad coming from the teams that played for the regional championship.

Tait's goal was his career-high third of the season. The back finished his career with four goals and four assists for 12 points.

The loss in the regional semifinals put a close to one of the best seasons in school history. The Lakers finished with a record of 17-4, tying the school record for wins in a season. Mercyhurst also won the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship with a record of 9-1 in GLIAC play.
