MIDLAND, Mich. - Mercyhurst College junior midfield Kyle Jackson was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Player of the week for his outstanding play the week ending October 29.

Jackson, who leads Mercyhurst with nine assists, took on a different role this week, scoring a hat trick in the Lakers 4-0 win over Northwood on Thursday. He then added the game-winning goal in Mercyhurst's 4-1 win over Gannon to close the regular-season. Jackson entered the week with three goals on the year but posted four in the two games this week.

On the year, his 23 points rank second on the team and his seven goals are third.

The performances helped the team secure the No. 4 seed at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional tournament in Edwardsville, Illinois. The Lakers take on the top seeded team from SIU-Edwardsville on Thursday, November 2 at 8:00 PM.
