Kurt Young Scores As Lakers Tie Greyhounds
Sept. 7, 2007 Oakland City, Ind. - The Mercyhurst men's soccer team finished a double-overtime game in a 1-1 tie on Friday against the University of Indianapolis at Oakland City University. Mercyhurst sophomore forward Kurt Young scored his second goal of the season in the 82nd minute, but the Lakers were unable to hold onto the lead. Two minutes later Greyhound midfielder Brian Fishback tied the game on a penalty kick and neither team was able to score the rest of the way. Mercyhurst held a 13-12 advantage in shots. Indianapolis is 3-1-1 following the tie, while Mercyhurst moves to 1-2-2. The Lakers will play Oakland City Saturday at 3:00 p.m. |
