Laker Depth Shows In Day One Of Baldwin-Wallace Invite

Madison, Ohio - Using two teams and an unattached individual at the Baldwin-Wallace Invitational Sunday, the Mercyhurst men's golf team showed its extraordinary depth. All eleven golfers shot rounds between 79 and 92 as both Laker teams sit in the middle of the standings after day one of competition.
Mount Union leads the eight team field with a 323, while the Mercyhurst B team shot a 333. The Mercyhurst A team was just one stroke behind with a 334.
Tyler Bidwell is tied for fifth in the individual standings after shooting a 79 to lead the B team, including a tournament best 37 on the front nine. Brendan Flood is eighth with an 80 and Kyle Waddell is tied for ninth with an 82.
Following Mount Union, John Carroll University shot a 328, followed by Baldwin-Wallace with a 332, one shot ahead of the Mercyhurst B team. John Carroll's B team is a shot behind the Mercyhurst A team at 335, while Wilmington is at 358. Lake Erie College is last with a 393.
Mercyhurst begins day two play Monday. Tee times begin at 9 a.m. |
