Baseball Downs Wheeling Jesuit, 4-1, in Rain Shortened Game

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Kevin Henry went all 7.1 innings in a rain shortened, 4-1, win over Wheeling Jesuit in a game played at Lynn University. The win was Mercyhurst's fifth in a row.

Henry scattered five hits and did not walk a batter, while striking out two.

Mercyhurst (5-1) got on the board in the second on a solo homer by John Blike. After Wheeling Jesuit tied the score, Mercyhurst scored a pair of runs in the fourth. David Lough tripled in the frame, followed by an inside-the-park home run by Joe Luli.

The Lakers tacked on an insurance run in the sixth with solo shot by Lough, who finished the game 2-for-3.

The game is the first of two for Mercyhurst on Tuesday. The Lakers also face Lynn at the Florida Atlantic 'A' Field at 6:00 PM.
