Male Athlete of the Week
Mariano Fava and Lee Michael Marnik, Tennis

Mariano Fava and Lee Michael Marnik upended the No. 4 ranked doubles team in the country, defeating Northwood's Teddy Mebounou and Marius Broek 9-7. The duo has won nine consecutive matches at No. 1 doubles and is now 13-1 on the year.

Female Athlete of the Week
Rhonda Marable, Water Polo

Junior transfer Rhonda Marable had a goal, five assists and 16 steals as the Lakers went 1-2 at the Wolverine Invitational. In Mercyhurst's win over Grove City, Marable had three assists and 10 steals to lead the Lakers to a strong 8-4 win. As a team, the Lakers had a season-best 29 steals.

Team of the Week
Women's Water Polo

The Mercyhurst women's water polo team traveled to Michigan this weekend to compete in the Wolverine Invitational. After losses to Gannon and Cal Lutheran, the Lakers bounced back with an 8-4 win over Grove City. Carrie Willison had six goals, three assists, eight steals and nine drawn ejections on the weekend, including four goals, an assist, four steals and five drawn ejections in the win. Christine Somera finished the weekend with five goals, two assists, 10 steals and 10 drawn ejections. Rhonda Marable ended the three games with a goal, five assists and 16 steals, including 10 steals in the win over Grove City.
