Male Athlete of the Week
Brian Espersen, Baseball

Junior Brian Espersen struck out 15 batters over seven innings as Mercyhurst defeated regional foe Lewis 11-2. Espersen allowed just five hits and did not walk a batter in improving to 2-0 on the year. The Lakers led just 3-2 heading into the seventh inning, before an eight run frame blew the game open. Espersen now has a 0.56 ERA on the year.

Female Athlete of the Week
Meghan Agosta, Tennis

Freshman Meghan Agosta was named the Conference Hockey America Tournament Most Valuable Player after the Lakers won the conference title with wins over Robert Morris and Wayne State. She had two goals and two assists in the team's 5-2 win over Robert Morris and then added a goal and two assists against Wayne State. As well, she was named one of three finalists for the Patty Kazmaier Award.

Team of the Week
Men's Basketball

The Mercyhurst men's basketball game hosted a playoff game for the first time in school history, ending a 29-year postseason winless streak with a 59-54 win over Wayne State in the GLIAC Tournament Quarterfinals. Avi Fogel had 19 points, five assists and a steal in his final game in the Mercyhurst Athletic Center, while Richard Field finished with 10 points. The Lakers moved onto the GLIAC Semfinals for the first time ever where they lost to No. 3 Findlay. Mercyhurst ended the season with a record of 18-11.
