MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis volleyball squad looks to right the ship on Tuesday, when it hosts in-state foe Belmont in non-conference action at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse. Match time is set for 6:30 p.m.

Memphis enters midweek competition after losing a pair of 3-1 decisions at Marshall and East Carolina--the first time the team has lost consecutive matches this season. Both defeats saw Memphis post better numbers than its opponent, but a combined 32 service errors helped send the Tigers to their third and fourth losses of the year. Head coach Carrie Yerty continues to look for that elusive 200th career coaching win this week. Memphis is 13-1 against non-conference opponents this year and holds one of the nations' 20 longest home winning streaks.

Belmont (15-2) comes to Memphis riding the momentum of an 11-match win streak after sweeping rival Lipscomb on Saturday. The Bruins, who are 7-1 on the road, have not lost a match since being swept by Western Kentucky back on Sept. 2. Since then, they have totaled seven sweeps in the win streak.

Memphis is 2-1 all-time against Belmont. The two teams met twice last season, with Memphis winning the first match 3-2 in the season-opener at the Arkansas Invitational. Belmont returned the favor and defeated Memphis in five games in Nashville on Oct. 11.
