MEMPHIS, Tenn. -
The University of Memphis women's tennis team moved indoors due to the unseasonable cold that has descended on the Mid-South, but it was not enough to warm up the Lady Tigers, as UALR downed Memphis, 7-0.
UALR swept all three doubles matches, getting the stiffest test from the Lady Tigers' top tandem of Christina Wieser and Ekin Zafir, who battled, but fell 8-6.
Wieser was also involved in the one singles match that went to a tiebreak, as she won her opening set, 6-3, but then fell 6-3, 10-5 at No. 3 singles.
Memphis will remain at home and will face McNeese State, Tuesday. That match will be played at Briarcrest in Memphis and the match will begin at 2:30 p.m.
