Chapel Hill, NC - The University of Memphis Lady Tiger golf team posted a final round team score of 326 and finished 12th in the 2001 Franklin Street Trust/Lady Tar Heel Intercollegiate in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The Lady Tigers had a three day total score of 963.

Duke University won the event with a team score of 894, while North Carolina was second at 911 and Vanderbilt placed third with a team score of 914. Wake Forest and Georgia rounded out the top five with scores of 921 and 922.

Duke's Kristina Engstrom won the 54-hole tournament with a score of three over par 219. Memphis's Meaghan Francella tied for 11th with rounds of 76-76-76. She led all Lady Tiger scorers. Jennifer Jaszek tied for 43th with a 241.
