The University of Memphis men's cross country team competed in a field of 192 runners, finishing 16th of 23 participating teams, Saturday.

Sophomore Balazs Laszlo was the first Tiger across the line, finishing 19th with a time of 24:46.12 over the 8K course.

Sophomore Ryan Smith was the next Tiger done, in the 48th spot, with a time of 25:33.12. Freshman Cameron Thomas (Germantown, TN) , a Houston High School graduate, finished 110th in 27:36.32, while junior Jeff Doudrick finished 124th in 28:35.67.

Senior Robert Goode rounded out the Tiger scorers in 129th with a time of 29:05.12, while sophomore Andre Lucas, an 800-meter runner on the track team, finished 137th in 30:43.13.

The Tigers are idle this week and will next compete at Vanderbilt, Sept. 30th in the Commodore Classic.

The meet was won by C-USA foe South Florida with 50 points. Memphis finished with 429 points.
