MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Tiger soccer team held another successful fund-raiser in front of 100 Tiger faithful at the Tiger Club room in the Pyramid, Wednesday evening.

On an evening where the spotlight fell on Tiger soccer, head coach Richie Grant was quick to praise the continued support from within the U of M athletic department after receiving donations from golf, football, baseball and men's basketball for the silent auction. "It was a great night for our program," said Grant. "I can't say enough about the help and donations we received from around our athletic department, they helped out tremendously. Tiger Clubs did a brilliant job with the preparations and just put on a fantastic event."

Aside from the auction featuring several U of M and English Premiership member Sunderland AFC memorabilia, the highlight of the night occurred when guest speaker and NCAA Final Four veteran Cliff McGrath delivered his speech to the packed house. "Cliff really stole the show after that," offered Grant. "When a person of his stature speaks, everyone listens."
