University of Memphis senior forward Kelly Wise and freshman guard Dajuan Wagner have been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 7 team.

They are now eligible for the NABC/Pontiac Division I All-American Team to be announced at the conclusion of the 2001-2002 NCAA men's basketball team. Joining Wise and Wagner on the all-district team were Kentucky's Tayshuan Prince, Louisville's Reece Gaines and Tennessee's Vincent Yarbrough.

For the year, Wise is averaging 11.9 points and a Conference USA-best 11.0 rebounds per game. He also ranks second in the league, shooting 57.8 percent from the field. He began the week ranked fourth nationally in rebounding.

Wagner leads Memphis and ranks second in Conference USA in scoring, averaging 21.3 points. He is also averaging 2.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.3 steals.

The NABC All-District teams are selected and voted on by member coaches of the association.
