MEMPHIS, TENN. - Mark another one in the books for University of Memphis shooter Beth Tidmore. The junior won her fourth consecutive air rifle event in a match against Kentucky, which was scored at Ole Miss.

Tidmore finished the event with a score of 589 in leading Memphis to a first place finish in the air rifle competition. She also had her best smallbore performance, turning in a 574, which was good enough to rank her fifth.

The Tigers totaled a new record for this year in air rifle with a score of 2324. Kentucky turned in a 2303, but won the smallbore event with a 2298 en route to finishing with a higher aggregate score. Memphis followed with a smallbore total of 2265.

Katie Benjamin fired a 582 in air to place fourth overall. J.B. Vaughan and Krissey Bahnsen placed seventh and eighth in air, respectively. Vaughan had his best air performance with a 579, while Bahnsen, who had not practiced for three weeks because of a shoulder injury, fired a 574. Bobbie Lee Prewit was 12th in air with a 556.

In smallbore, Benjamin followed Tidmore with a score of 572, which was enough for her to place seventh. Vaughan and Brian Phillips totaled scores of 561 and 558, respectively, as the No. 11 and No. 12 shooters in the smallbore event.
