PRINCESS ANNE, MD - The Lady Hawk 4x100m relay squad received national recognition on May 8 after their record setting performance on May 6 at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Championships. The team of Shakira Robinson, Danieth Pryce, Tanisha Wisdom and Cierra Layne are seventh in the east in the latest NCAA Rankings.

The quartet brought home a gold medal with their first place finish in 45.32 at last weekend's conference championships. The squad will join six other Hawks at the 2006 NCAA East Regional, held on the campus of North Carolina A&T in late May.

The team also owns the second highest MEAC mark in that event.

The Hawks return to action May 12-13, when they compete at the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Ga.
