McNeese State's women's golf team begins its season Monday by hosting its own invitational at Koasati Pines Golf Resort in Kinder.

The 11-team field will begin the 36-hole tournament Monday with two rounds. The opening round will begin at 8 a.m. with the afternoon round starting at 1 p.m. The final round on Tuesday will begin at 8 a.m.

Other teams taking part in the tournament are McClennan Junior College, Troy State, Texas State, Sam Houston State, Nicholls State, South Alabama, Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, Louisiana-Monroe and Lamar.
