The Marshall University volleyball team (20-11, 11-7 MAC) looks for their first ever Mid-American Conference Tournament win Tuesday night against Eastern Michigan (26-6, 13-5 MAC). The Thundering Herd enter the tournament as the fifth seed, while the Eagles come into the match as the number four seed. EMU took the two meetings between the two schools this season.

The Herd has lost three straight, all in five games. On November 16th, MU lost in five games to the Eagles, and this past weekend, Marshall lost at Kent State and at Akron. The Thundering Herd led by at least three points in the deciding game five in the Eastern Michigan and Kent State matches before losing.

The MAC Volleyball semifinals and finals continue later in the week at the highest remaining seed following Tuesday’s play. Those matches are slated for Friday and Saturday.
