Volleyball Wins West Virginia Spring Invitational

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The Marshall volleyball team only took six players to Morgantown for WVU's Spring tournament, but it was all the Herd would need as they came away with the tournament title Saturday afternoon. MU won 11 out of 12 games on the day.

Marshall took out Robert Morris, St. Francis (Pa.), and DuQuesne 3-0, and defeated Youngstown State 2-1 on the day.

Head coach Mitch Jacobs was pleased with his team's performance.

"After a sluggish morning, I felt that we did pretty well," said Jacobs. "For most of the matches today, we played well for 2/3's of the match and then held on for the win."
