Marshall Women's Golf Notches Tenth Place Finish In Ross Resorts Invitational

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. - Larie Lynch tied for 21st overall to lead the Thundering Herd women's golf team to a tenth place finish at the Ross Resorts Invitational. Lynch shot a 78 in Tuesday's round to finish with a three-round total of 237. In Monday's opening rounds, Lynch had scores of 78 and 81, respectively. Andrea Grier finished in a tie for 53rd place with a three-round total of 248 (90 74 84), finishing just ahead of Molly Ginger and Whitney Wolejko, who tied for 58th place overall. Rollins College, which led after day one, shot a 303 on Tuesday, finishing with a total of 916 to take the tournament by eight strokes over Augusta State. On the individual side, Joanna Coe of Rollins took first place with a 224, just one stroke ahead of second place Emilie Geury of Augusta State.
The Herd will wrap up its fall season next week with a trip to the UAB Fall Beach Blast. The tournament, which will be held in Gulf Shores, Alabama, will take place on Monday and Tuesday.
