GREENVILLE, N.C. - The Marshall women's golf team completed East Carolina's Taco Bell Intercollegiate on Sunday in 17th place after shooting a 318 in the tournament's final 18 of 54 holes. Augusta State won the team title with an 875 while Maryland's Katie Stepanek took medalist honors with a 5-under 211.

Marshall shot a 936 (304-314-318) for the weekend. Amber Churchill (Dublin, Ohio) had the best weekend for the Herd, shooting a 228 (74-76-78) to finish in a tie for 39th place. Allyson Hatcher (Wheeling, W.Va.) shot back-to-back 80s in the final two rounds for a 234 (T-64).

The Terrapins' Stepanek finished four strokes ahead of Augusta State's Emilie Geury, who was the only other golfer to shoot under par for the tournament (-1).

The Taco Bell Intercollegiate completes the fall season for the Marshall women's golf team.
