Tweel Named to All-MAC Academic Team

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Marshall sophomore Brad Tweel was one of only five players named to the 2003 Academic All-MAC Men's Golf team today.
Tweel, a Huntington native, finished the season with the Thundering Herd's second best stroke average at 76.94 through 36 rounds of action. Tweel, a business major, maintains a solid 3.85 grade point average.
He is joined on the all-acedimc team by Kevin Moore of Akron, Ball State's Justin Cross and Kenny Cook, and Bowling Green's Craig Pickerel.
The team, selected by league Faculty Athletic Representatives, honors student-athlete's who excel in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 grade point average and have participated in at least 50% of the contests. First year students and JC transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
