Cross Country Heads to Cincinnati for Queen City Invitational

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- On Friday, Sept. 16, the men's and women's cross country teams will run in the Queen City Invitational for the second meet of the season. The Herd looks to Stephanie Eastman and Jon Nelson to continue the success from the first meet of the season.

Marshall faces Cincinnati, Kentucky State and Morehead State. Cincinnati is the defending champions of the tournament; the men's and women's teams took both team titles home last year. The second place finishers in both men's and women's, Morehead, look to claim the title this year.

In the first meet, Woodford Trials, Eastman (Deptford, N.J.) placed in top 10 finishers for the women's two mile run. Nelson (Barboursville, W.Va.) was the Herd's top finisher on the men's side placing 16th in the 5k run.

The Queen City Invitational is slated to start at 4:30 p.m.
