Cross Country Set to Host Ohio in First Home Meet in Three Years
9/6/2002
HUNTINGTON—It has been three years since the Marshall cross country team has hosted a home meet. Saturday will mark the end of that trend as the Thundering Herd hosts Mid-American Conference rival Ohio University at Cabell-Midland High School in Ona, W.Va.
The two schools will compete as part of the Cabell-Midland Early Bird meet. The Thundering Herd men will run an 8k beginning at 9 a.m. and the women will follow in a 5K at 9:45 a.m.
This will be the Thundering Herd’s second meet this season. Sophomore Stephanie Eastman finished in ninth for the women at the Woodford Cross Country Trial in Versailles, KY, while senior Eric Anderson placed 12th for the men.
