Men's and Women's Cross Country Tabbed Eighth and Twelfth, Respectively, in Pre-season Poll

Cleveland, Ohio-The Marshall University men’s and women’s cross country teams have been tabbed eighth and twelfth, respectively, in the pre-season coaches poll released by the Mid-American Conference. Eastern Michigan was tabbed to win the men’s title while Toledo was picked to win the women’s crown.
Last season, the Thundering Herd men and women both finished ninth at the MAC Championships held in Ypsilanti, Mich.
On the men’s side, the Thundering Herd will be led by sophomore Craig Swisher who placed 23rd at the MAC Championships last season.
For the women, Marshall’s top returnee is junior Shelby Pride. Pride finished 28th at the MAC Championships last year.
