Brigitte Laflamme Named Hockey East Player of the Week
Feb. 6, 2006 Orono, Maine - Junior forward Brigitte Laflamme (St. Augustin, Quebec) was named Hockey East Player of the Week for her three-point performance in this weekend's split with the University of Connecticut. Laflamme scored Maine's lone goal in Saturday's 5-1 loss at the University of Connecticut and played a role in both goals in a crucial 2-1 conference road win on Sunday afternoon with the Huskies. Laflamme now has five points in her last four games and has recorded a point in 15 games this season, and recorded her seventh multi-point game. Laflamme leads the Black Bears in goals with 14 and in scoring with 25 points (14 goals, 11 assists). In three years, Laflamme has accumulated 22 goals and 29 assists for 51 career points and appeared in 88 games for the Black Bears. Laflamme File 2004-05: Played in all 32 games for the Black Bears...finished the season with 5 goals and 11 assists for 16 points...recorded two power play goals...scored game winning goal versus Northeastern (2/19)...scored a goal and an assist versus Boston College (11/14)...tallied two assists versus Quinnipiac (12/11)...recorded points in back to back games six times. 2003-04: Played in all 32 games, scored three goals and added 7 assists for 10 points ... scored goals against Union (12/12), Boston College (2/28) and against Providence (3/20) in the Hockey East Tournament.
