Jason Jacobe Named to 2004 Academic All-District I Second Team

ORONO, Maine--University of Maine men's soccer sophomore Jason Jacobe (Windham, Maine) was named to the 2004 CoSIDA Academic All-District I Men's Soccer Second Team announced on Friday, November 5. Jacobe, a central defender, started all 16 games for the Black Bears this season. In 2003, Jacobe saw action in 15 games for the Black Bears, including starts against Niagara (9/1), Sacred Heart (9/27) and Binghamton (10/25) and was named to the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Prior to his arrival at Maine, Jacobe played for coach Jim O'Conner at Windham High School where he earned Southern Maine Athletic Association first team honors, was a Western Maine Class A first team honoree, was an All-State honorable mention, named valedictorian of his class, and earned SMAA All-Academic honors.

Jacobe boasts a 3.94 grade point average as a mechanical engineering major. He is the son of Diana and Jude Jacobe.
