Velas Named America East Conference Rookie of the Week
Sept. 27, 2004 Jimmy Velas (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth High School) was named America East Conference Rookie of the Week for the second time in three weeks. Velas was honored this week after recording a goal and an assist in a 2-2 draw with the University of New Hampshire. He was honored September 13th after scoring two goals versus the University of Massachusetts in a 3-1 win. To date, in six games, Velas has scored three goals and two assists which puts him in the top 10 in the America East in scoring, assists and overall points.
