HEADING INTO 2008: Will compete for time in the outfield and possibly as the designated hitter.
2007: Saw action in 17 games for the Black Bears in 2007, making 12 starts... hit .222 with 11 runs scored and four RBI... had three doubles and a pair of home runs... was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and one RBI against Penn (3/8)... belted a home run at 14th ranked Arizona State University (3/18)... also saw action in two games on the mound.
2006: Saw action in 36 games for the Black Bears, earning 29 starts mostly in right field... finished 1-for-3 with a run scored and two RBI against #19 Ole Miss (2/26) where he belted his first home run... was 3-for-5 with three runs scored and three RBI against Penn (3/11)... was 3-for-3 with a run scored and three RBI at Maryland Eastern Shore (4/1).
BEFORE UMAINE: A transfer from High Point University where he saw action in 42 games as a freshman... earned All-Conference honors in baseball as a senior... named most competitive athlete as a senior... named to the AAU All-American Team... played for the Mill City All-American of the New England Collegiate Baseball League in the summer of 2005... also an outstanding football player where he earned All-Conference honors as both a junior and senior... born August 18, 1986... son of Diane and Mark Brown... a resource and agri business management major... brother, Mark, played baseball at Wheaton College.
