11.3.08 - OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Mid-America Christian University Evangels and Lady Evangels will open up the 2008 schedule tonight, Jan 3 against Southern Nazarene University Crimson Storm. Both teams will be looking for their first Sooner Athletic Conference win.

The Lady Evangels will tip-off at 6:00 p.m. and the Evangels will follow at 8:00 p.m.

Senior Courtney Sorrels leads the Lady Evangels in scoring and steals, while Freshman Melissa Aguilar leads the teams in assists.

Senior's Joe Brown and Stevan Thomas lead the Evangels in scoring, while Senior Donald Thorne leads the team in rebounds, averaging 7.6 rebounds per game.

The Evangels are 4-6 on the season and 0-3 in SAC play. The Lady Evangels come in with a 3-8 record and 0-3 in SAC play.
