Lauren Oh Named Horizon League Player of the Week

Oct. 10, 2007

CHICAGO - Lauren Oh, a freshman on Loyola University Chicago's women's golf team, has been tabbed Horizon League Women's Player of the Week, it was announced today by the League office. Oh is the first Rambler to earn the honor this season.

At the Huskie Classic hosted by Northern Illinois, Oct. 1-2, Oh led Loyola and tied for second among individuals with a 36-hole score of 154 (77-77), which placed her a mere four strokes behind medalist Nichole Swan of Oakland. Oh was consistent, firing a five-over-par 77 in each round to help the Ramblers to a third-place showing at the six-team event and through seven rounds this fall, owns a 80.7 average.

Loyola wraps up its fall season next week when it competes at the IPFW Fall Classic, Oct. 15-16.
