Loyola Women's Golf In Hunt For Title At Detroit Titans Invite

REDFORD, Mich. - Junior Michelle Puch shot an 80 today to help Loyola University Chicago post a team score of 330 in round one at the Detroit Titans Invitational at Western Golf and Country Club. The Ramblers are a mere eight strokes behind leader Oakland (322) and five swings behind Horizon League foe Detroit (327) after 18 holes of action.

Puch's 80 tied for the fourth-lowest score of the day on the 5,995-yard course. Following one round of competition, three Ramblers find themselves in the top 10 leaderboard - Puch, Lucy McGovern (T-8th, 81) and Kaitlin Kearney (T-10th, 82). Megan Sujack fired an 87, while Rachael Sinnen, who missed last week's meet due to flu-like symptoms, shot a 91, to round out Loyola's lineup today.

The seven-team field wraps up competition tomorrow with 18-holes of action.
