CHICAGO - Jennifer Feldott, a retired veteran on the LPGA Tour and a graduate of the University of Missouri, has been tabbed as Loyola University Chicago's women's golf head coach, Director of Athletics John Planek announced today. She replaces Nate Miklos, who resigned to pursue other interests at the end of the 2004-05 season.

"Jennifer's experiences as a student athlete, member of the LPGA, and teaching pro will be a tremendous asset for her as she begins her coaching career at Loyola University," Planek said. " Her abilities as a player certainly will provide a great example to our women golfers."

After attending Missouri to study business and play on the softball team, Feldott walked on to the Tigers' golf team and eventually played her way into the No. 1 position in the lineup. The first Missouri women's golfer to become a LPGA Tour member, Feldott posted five career top 10 finishes as a professional as she competed in 105 tournaments worldwide, including the U.S. Open, LPGA Championship and British Open to name a few.

"I am very excited about the opportunity to coach the student-athletes at a prestigious university such as Loyola," Feldott said. "I am eager to pass on the wealth of golf knowledge and life skills I have developed over the last 15 years and I look forward to developing a successful and winning tradition."

Since her decision to end her professional playing career in 2002, Feldott has served as a golf instructor at the Knollwood Club in Lake Forest as well as at the Wilmette Golf Course and Highland Park Golf Dome. She graduated from Missouri in 1994 with a B.S.B.A. in administrative management. She is engaged to marry Mark Hall in August.

Loyola is coming off of a third-place finish at the 2005 Horizon League Championships and returns senior Marissa Capriola, a First Team All-Horizon League selection last season.
