Women's Golf Takes Fourth Place at IPFW Classic

FT. WAYNE - Backed by a top-ten finish by junior Rachael Sinnen, Loyola University Chicago placed fourth out of nine teams with a score of 964 at the IPFW Fall Classic, which wrapped up today. Butler claimed the title with a team total of 921. Sinnen was sensational in the opening rounds of play yesterday, firing a 78 and a three-over-par 74 in round two before posting an 81 today for a tournament total of 233, which placed her eighth overall. Freshman Kaitlin Kearney continued her solid play, firing a 238 (79-75-84) to finish 17th, while sophomore Michelle Puch tied for 20th with a 243 (78-80-85). Senior Marissa Capriola, who posted a 251 (87-78-86), showed signs of her old form by notching a 78 in round two. Melissa Allen rounded out the Loyola lineup, by placing 37th with a 262 (86-85-91). Loyola closes out the fall portion of the season when it competes at the Cincinnati Invitational, Oct. 24-25. Final Team Results |
